Install IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV

Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs install IPTV players from their own app stores. Many of these players are set up by uploading your playlist on the app's website rather than typing it on the TV — a different flow, but a simple one.

Getting started

  • A Samsung or LG smart TV connected to the internet, with access to its app store (Samsung Apps / LG Content Store).
  • Your subscription details, usually an M3U playlist link for this device type.
  • A phone or computer with a browser, for players that are configured through a website.
  • Note: some third-party smart-TV players charge their own small one-time activation fee to the app developer — this is separate from your IPTV subscription.

How it works

1

Open your TV's app store

On Samsung TVs open the Smart Hub and go to Apps; on LG TVs open the LG Content Store. Both are on the home screen ribbon.

2

Search for an IPTV player

Search for "IPTV" and review the results. Established players available on these platforms include IPTV Smarters, Smart IPTV, SS IPTV and Duplex IPTV — availability varies by region and TV model. If your provider recommends one, choose that.

3

Install and open the app

Install the player and open it. Many smart-TV players display a device ID or MAC address on first launch — keep this screen visible or note the code down.

4

Attach your playlist

If the app shows a device code, visit the app's official website on your phone or computer, sign in or enter the code, and upload or paste your M3U playlist link for that device. If the app instead offers on-screen entry, type your playlist link or server credentials directly on the TV.

5

Reload the app

Close and reopen the player (or use its reload action). Your channel list should now appear; the programme guide may take a minute or two to fill on first load.

6

Organise your channels

Use the app's grouping or favourites features to bring the channels you watch to the front, and hide groups you never open.

Frequently asked questions

The player is not in your TV's store: availability differs by region and model year. Ask your provider which player they recommend for your exact TV, or consider an external device such as a Fire TV Stick or Android TV box.

Playlist uploaded but no channels appear: confirm the upload targeted the correct device ID, then fully close and reopen the app.

The app asks for a one-time activation fee: this is the app developer's own fee, not part of your IPTV subscription — check the app's official site before paying.

Streams stutter on the TV while other apps are fine: try a wired connection if your TV has an Ethernet port, and restart both the TV and the router.
